Emergency First Response (EFR) is a comprehensive program which includes several separate components, which can be taught together or as standalone courses such as Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Manual Handling.
EFR system is based on internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care (ILCOR Guidelines 2000). EFR meets regulatory requirements in the UK (The Health and Safety At Work Act 1974 and The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992) and fulfills the UK standards of First Aid Appointed Person at Work, Manual Handling and Care for Children for Child Carers.
EFR teaching method has won educational awards and provides a flexible learning method to meet individual needs with state of the art self-study materials to reduce traditional classroom time leaving more time for hands-on practice sessions.
