WILDLIFE TOURS

DOLPHIN RESEARCH TRIPS

Our team of scientists work with Bangor University and Sea Watch Foundation to study the distribution and sounds of porpoises and dolphins in the area. You too can participate on our surveys. We follow a strict code of conduct to protect these animals but will deploy a hydrophone every time we see them to listen to their clicks and whistles, allowing us to enjoy the encounters without disturbing their activities.

EXCLUSIVE BIRD WATCHING

We offer exclusive tours with small groups to watch birdlife close up from a quiet, small boat with plenty of opportunities for photography. We keep a bird log of species seen and provide you with a good pair of binoculars and bird guides, so you can enjoy the seabirds at sea and peek into their nests on the cliffs without worrying about falling off the cliffs!

LOBSTER STUDIES

Be amazed at the wonders of Welsh Waters and help us haul in a lobster and crab pot as our team conducts research into local crab and lobster populations to help develop sustainable fisheries in the area, with the support of the Cardigan Bay Fisheries Association.

PRIVATE HIRE FOR ALL

Wouldn’t you like to own a boat for a day? Cruise down the coast on a summer’s morning, jump into the blue sea, snorkel in the shallows, have a picnic in a secluded bay, fish for your dinner and enjoy the wildlife with only your family and friends as company. We can guarantee a great day out with a luxury homemade picnic hamper, or let us arrange a local chef to cook the fish you caught whilst you enjoy the setting sun over the sea from the resaturant Traeth. Our experienced skipper will ensure a hassle free day for you so you can enjoy the best of Cardigan Bay without the crowds. Click here for more info.

ABERAERON BOAT TRIPS

We also run trips from the picturesque village of Aberaeron, just in front of the Harbour Master hotel and go out into the bay to watch wildlife and enjoy the scenic coastline. The harbour there is tidal and we can only run at high tide, and will only come to Aberaeron if we have prior bookings so make sure you call and book in advance!   Click here for more info.
